I recently worked with singer/actress Katherine Hamilton to help her create a new look for her photo shoot with photographer Ryan Huban.  First, Katherine and I discussed a new haircut that would instantly update her.  We agreed that at her next visit to the salon, she would cut off about 10 inches, and she didn’t even flinch!  Next,  we chose some outfits that would most enhance her best features.  Since headshots are the first thing that casting directors see, her eyes and smile had to say the right things.  We chose three different blue tops that really made her eyes pop and her smile sparkle.  Since Katherine also works as a Mary Kay consultant, she was quite capable of doing her own makeup for the photo shoot, however I was on deck for the entire process, so I did touch-ups while we were on location.

Here’s what Katherine had to say about her experience:

“Working with Kristin was such a pleasure!  She not only created the look for the shoot, but also functioned as hair and make-up, nutritionist, and general personal assistant.  Kristin has a deep understanding of how stressful artist photo shoots can be, and combines her flawless taste with a truly calming demeanor to produce amazing results!  When we began pulling clothes for the shoot… let’s just say, I had ideas that were very different from Kristin’s ideas.  However, my reservations were quickly dashed, when I realized that my ideas were a little impractical, and Kristin’s were… well, right on!  I couldn’t be happier with the results of the shoot, and the general look that was produced, and would absolutely work with Kristin again, hands down!  She’s the best!”
